Sewing-Beginning

Do you have a sewing machine but aren't sure how to use it, or even how to sew a straight line? In this course, you'll learn all the basics to start your sewing journey, from threading your machine and winding a bobbin to sewing straight lines and installing a zipper. Each class will give you the opportunity to practice the techniques and complete a finished project. Students must bring their own machine and will receive a small supply list before the class begins (please call 412-788-7507 if you did not receive). Most project supplies will be provided by the instructor.

Supply List:
A sewing machine in good working condition -need to bring to class
2 to 3 bobbins
Extra needles for the sewing machine
2 or 3 spools of white or cream thread
Presser feet for your machine including a standard and a zipper foot.

2 pieces of matching 100% quilt cotton: 1 yard each. One piece in a pattern and 1 piece in a solid.
