Introduction to Arduino

Children will get hands-on experience in circuitry and coding using an Arduino microcontroller. They will program their controllers to perform physical tasks, such as turning lights on, creating sounds, and moving motors. Programming will include the use of a free program called Snap 4 Arduino that allows students to work with programming logic using a visual, block-based interface, so they can focus on logic and trouble shooting. Class includes cost of kit for students to take home. Suitable for 5th-9th graders.
