Digital Photography for Teens

Understanding what makes a compelling photograph takes an understanding of composition, storytelling and, of course, light. We'll begin with what to include in the frame, tools for drawing the eye into and around the photo, using and seeing symbolism, elements of stories and continue with technical aspects of using a camera and understanding the role that light plays. Learning to see these things will make your daily walk through life more interesting and artful even when you're not holding your camera. Each class will include time photographing. A camera is a must, bring the best you have, but any digital camera, including (good) phone cameras, will do. Also bring the camera's manual if you have it.
