Child Care-Girl Scouts
Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts will earn the interest project Child Care. The girls will study different developmental levels discovering physical, emotional, intellectual, and social growth occuring at each stage. How to handle an emergency will be discussed and practiced. Each girl will compile a file containing babysitting activities for different age levels. Toys of today will be compared with toys of twenty years ago. Television viewing and video game use will be debated. Career options will be explored including careers available, education needed, and laws protecting children. The girls will plan a child care event, such as one-day Pee Wee Day Camp.
