The Making of the Celtic World

This course traces the evolution of the three Celtic peoples of the British Isles - the Irish, Welsh and Scots - from the Viking Age to the Irish Rebellion of 1798. From the making of the earliest Celtic kingdoms in the days of Kenneth MacAlpin, Rhodri Mawr and Brian Boru, to the unification of the British Isles by the Scottish and Irish Acts of Union, this is the story of the making of the nations which share the British Isles.
