The Changing Face of War: Grant Vs. Lee
Students will examine General Ulysses S. Grant's Overland Campaign of 1864 and how he and Robert E. Lee changed warfare for the next 70 years. We will explore the battles of the Wilderness, Spotsylvania Court House, North Anna River, and Cold Harbor, while showing the evolution of field fortifications and the breakdown of both armies as they approached Petersburg, VA.
