Penn Central Railroad - Brought Down by Greed, Reincarnated by Need
This course will review the flawed merger and inevitable collapse of the Penn Central Railroad. The merged assets of PRR and NYC proved to be worthless paper forcing the Penn Central to operate on little more than smoke and fumes. Conrail was created to preserve vital freight transportation needed for industrial economic stability.
