Introduction to Wine
Have you ever been mystified by the seemingly endless varieties of wine available at your local wine or grocery store? This course seeks to demystify the often-bewildering aspects of one of the world's oldest alcoholic beverages. The winemaking process will be explained, as will the difference between red and white wines. Different winemaking regions will also be detailed, as will the most popular grapes used. Tastings of various wines will be given to emphasize the points of the lessons. By the end, hopefully participants will graduate from wine-curious to oenophiles (wine lovers). Must be 21 years old to attend.
