Lead Abatement Worker
The objective of this two day (16 hour) Lead Abatement Worker training program is to prepare individuals to be certified by the EPA to perform lead abatement in target housing. It includes lead-based paint abatement and hazard control, clearance standards and testing, background on regulations, abatement methods, prohibited practices, set-up and enclosures, dust control, cleanup and waste disposal. Hands-on activities include setting up-and establishing containment, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and performing encapsulations, paint stripping, and heat gun use.
