Lead Abatement Supervisor
The objective of this four day (32 hour) Lead Abatement Supervisor training program is to prepare individuals to be certified by the EPA to supervise and conduct abatements and to prepare occupant protection plans and abatement reports. It includes lead-based paint abatement and hazard control, clearance standards and testing, background on regulations, liability and insurance issues, cleanup and waste disposal. Hands-on activities include setting up-and establishing containment, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and a site-visit to identify potential lead-hazards, discuss effective abatement strategies, and develop an abatement plan.
