Cdl Class a Training

This 80-hr course will consist of a minimum of 40 hours of behind the wheel time with individualized instruction in driving and backing a Class A commercial vehicle (tractor trailer) along with 40 hours of lecture/observation time. During the behind the wheel time, the student will be given 1-on-1 instruction on basic driving skills and on proper backing and parking procedures. During the lecture observation time, students will learn to do a proper pre-trip and will observe other students and instructors operating the vehicle. Students must pass a DOT physical and drug screen, have a valid CDL permit and complete YIB 102 in order to take this class. (completion of YIB 102 may be waived with the permission of the CDL Coordinator).
