Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support

The Prehospital Trauma Life Support course is available for both advanced life support (ALS) and basic life support (BLS) providers and focuses on the prehospital care of trauma patients. The areas that are presented include: trauma patient assessment, stabilization of the trauma patient, rapid extrication techniques. In addition, for the ALS providers, several advanced trauma treatments. The course includes lecture and skill sessions. Prerequisites: Current First Responder or EMT for Basic Certification OR Current Paramedic, RN, Physician for Advanced Certification.
