Nursing Assistant
This 168-hour Nursing Assistant course is composed of 98 hours of theory and 70 hours of clinical. Students explore a variety of topics for Nursing Assistant for long-term patient care. Topics include legality and promotion of patient rights, external standards, communications, infection control, basic body systems, external standards within the chain of command, effect of aging and disease on body systems, measures to promote independence and rehabilitation, and understanding mental health and social services needs of patients. This curriculum is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
