Lead Abatement Assessor

The objective of this sixteen (16) hour course is to train individuals to be certified as Risk Assessors who can determine and then report the existence, nature, severity, and location of lead-based paint hazards in housing through an on-site investigation and the possible means of correcting any hazards identified. It includes sampling, elevated blood lead level investigations, report preparation and ongoing monitoring. It follows an exposure-based approach to dealing with lead based paint hazards. This systematic approach is taken from the HUD Guidelines for the Evaluation and Control of Lead-Based Paint Hazards in Housing.
