Aemt Bridge to Paramedic Placement Exam
The AEMT to Paramedic Placement Exam is designed to evaluate the knowledge and clinical foundation of currently certified Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMTs) seeking advanced placement into a Paramedic education program. The exam assesses the candidate's understanding of essential AEMT-level concepts and determines whether the applicant possesses the knowledge necessary to successfully transition into advanced Paramedic-level coursework. Topics may include patient assessment, airway and respiratory management, pharmacology, medical and trauma emergencies, cardiology, shock and resuscitation, and EMS operations. Successful completion of the placement exam does not constitute Paramedic certification. The examination is used to determine eligibility and appropriate placement within the Paramedic program. Candidates must also meet all applicable program admission, certification, and prerequisite requirements. Applicants should be prepared to demonstrate competency consistent with the current AEMT scope of practice and entry-level expectations for advanced Paramedic education.
