Preserving the Spring Harvest

Plant your garden and produce your own harvest. Or maybe you just want to take advantage of locally grown, seasonally fresh produce. Correctly preserving herbs, fruits, and vegetables for later use is an exceptional way to save money and to serve delicious and healthy foods all year long. Preserving is easy, fun and satisfying. Come to this class and learn the basics of canning, drying and freezing so that you can stock your panty with the bounty of the early spring harvest. We will also discuss the plant varieties best suited for preserving.
