Professional Barbering

This 345 hour course includes a review of shampooing and introduces students to draping procedures, scalp and facial massages and scalp treatments. This course also identifies the muscles, nerves and arteries affected by facial massages and treatments and skin care products. Students will be introduced to the facial shave procedure and the physiological structures and angles of the face including beginning and ending strokes of the shaving area. Introduction to men's haircutting, styling, hair replacement measurements, construction, cutting, cleaning and alternative hair replacement methods. Pre-requisite: High school diploma or its equivalent.
