Orientation to Barbering

This 200-hour course will present the importance of study skills as a tool for learning including note taking and report writing. It will provide an understanding of barbering history so that a frame of reference is created about the profession; to instill an appreciation for one of the world's oldest professions; and to maintain the continuation of the historical perspective for future generations of barbers. This module will also discuss profession image and identify values, attitude, goal setting, motivation, self-management and time management. Pre-requisite: High school diploma or its equivalent.
