Everyday Shiatsu

Join us for An 8-hour day of therapeutic stretching, compression and "finger pressure" techniques common to the Japanese tradition of Shiatsu. In this course, participants will directly experience the value of this practice as a self-conditioning tool as we work to improve our own energy flow through the meridians. Time will be spent in reviewing Shiatsu terminology, the Chakras and meridian theory before beginning step by step instructions on how to perform Shiatsu to stretch, compress and manipulate specific areas of the body. This session will begin and end with preparing ourselves mentally and physically by becoming grounded, centered and focused and practicing meditation, mindfulness and proper breathing. Participants must bring a yoga mat for floor work and are encouraged to wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing
