Digital Filmmaking Beginning

In this 36-hour course, students will learn the principles of digital motion pictures production using digital video cameras and non-linear editing software. Students will create digital films and learn to edit MPEG video files using Adobe Premier editing software, as well as the digital video production process from storyboarding to final cut. Topics include basic composition, cutting for continuity, close-ups, non-linear editing and film lighting. A camera that creates MPEG video files is helpful, but not required.
