Learn how to create DVDs for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, reunions, memorials, or other special occasions from family photographs, videos, and your favorite music soundtracks. In this six-hour workshop you will learn how to upload your already scanned or digital camera photographs, digital video files, and sound files using Windows Live Movie Maker program, software typically included with the Microsoft Windows operating system or available as a free-of-charge download from the Microsoft web site. Learn to create a storyboard with unique transitions and special effects, a timeline narrative, with your favorite music in the background. Your final creation will be burned on a digital video disk (DVD) that can be now played on another computer or a DVD player. The workshop attendees must have a good working knowledge of computers and know how to scan photos and/or can export their camera's output onto flash drives and be able to do the same for music files. Workshop attendees must bring to class a flash drive containing 18 - 24 digital photo files and a few MP3 sound tracks. The flash drive will also be used to store your Movie Maker project at the conclusion of the workshop. Blank DVD-R disks for burning the movie will be provided at the workshop.
